Getting here

Your Offer Holder Day will take a place at one of our two campuses, depending on your chosen course: Newton Park or Locksbrook.

Our website has detailed information on how to find us, including public transport options.

Parking

Newton Park:

If you're arriving by car then parking is free at Newton Park campus.

If you or a member of your group is a Blue Badge holder you can find dedicated parking outside Commons, the Library and Main House. Feel free to ask for directions from one of our event staff on the day and they will be able to direct you to a space.

Locksbrook:

Parking at our Locksbrook campus is free for Offer Holder Day visitors and there is dedicated Blue Badge parking available for visitors. We would encourage visitors to arrive by public transport if possible. The campus is a 15-20 minute walk along the river from the main Bath Spa station, and is well-served by regular buses.

Due to limited parking, we may ask visitors to park at the nearby Bath Spa Sports Ground or Rotork carpark (weekend events) where you'll then be able to catch a regular, free shuttle bus to Locksbrook.

You can find food and drink to purchase on the day at a number of our catering outlets on campus. Complimentary tea and coffee will be available throughout the day.

Before you arrive at your Offer Holder Day, think about some questions you want to ask our staff and students - this is your chance to find out the answers to everything important to you.

You could ask:

  • What's life like living on campus at BSU?
  • How will I be assessed on my course?
  • Which clubs and societies can I join?
  • What are some cool places to visit in Bath?
  • What kind of financial funding or scholarships are available?

We'd love you to share your experience with us on social media, across TikTok, Instagram, X and Facebook, make sure to tag us to share the best bits of your day.

During your visit you might notice members of our Social Media and Digital Content teams capturing photos and videos for future use. Please speak to them if you would prefer not to be photographed or filmed.

"It made me even more excited for a possible future here!"

Your questions answered

Offer Holder Days are a great way to learn more about student life, meet course leaders and explore our facilities.

At an offer holder event you’ll have the opportunity to visit the University and explore your chosen course in detail by taking part in sessions or workshops that give you a taste of the university learning experience. You’ll get to meet your future classmates and tutors, chat to current students, and tour the key facilities you’ll use during your time at BSU.

Open Days introduce you to what university life can offer in terms of expertise, facilities and location – they’re a great way to help you decide where to apply.

Offer Holder Days are more tailored to you. They cover the kinds of things you’ll want to know once you’ve received an offer and can help you make your firm choice.

On an Offer Holder Day you can:

  • Learn about your chosen course
  • Explore our campuses and facilities
  • Meet your tutors
  • Talk to current students and your future classmates
  • Find out about student life
  • Explore our student accommodation.

As Offer Holder Days are tailored events, attendance is by invitation only. Students with a conditional or unconditional offer (offer holders) will be invited by email.

We'll email you via your UCAS registered email address, so keep an eye on this for updates. We'll also call you on your UCAS registered phone number and send you an SMS to the same number.

Yes – our Student Ambassadors will be on-hand to answer your questions about Bath Spa and your chosen course. You’ll also be able to explore our student accommodation and attend talks on topics such as:

Offer Holder events aren’t compulsory. They’re designed to give you more information on your chosen university and course, to help you make your firm choice.

Most of our courses invite applicants to attend an Offer Holder Day at BSU.

If you've applied for a course that requires a portfolio viewing, interview or an audition, you won't be invited to an Offer Holder Day.

Our courses in Art, Design and Performance are known as 'interviewing courses', and if you've applied to one of these, you'll get the opportunity to explore our campuses and facilities, as well as meet your tutors, at your audition or interview. This is your opportunity to show us what you can do by way of a performance or portfolio, and it's also your chance to learn more about what BSU has to offer.
