What happens during the ceremony?
Before the ceremony, while guests and students are taking their seats, live music is played.
After a welcome from the Pro-Vice-Chancellor or University Secretary, the academic procession enters the auditorium.
The running order for each Graduation ceremony will be as follows:
- The ceremony is declared open
- Vice-Chancellor’s or Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s address
- Presentation of honorary awards (if applicable)
- Presentation of student awards
- Chancellor's address
- The ceremony is declared closed
At the end of the ceremony, the academic procession will leave, followed by students and then their guests.
We expect each ceremony to last about 60-90 minutes.

- Monday 21 July at 4.00pm - Quiet Graduation (not live streamed)
- Tuesday 22 July at 11.00am - Bath Business School and Bath Spa University London
